Dr. Camilo Segura

Dr. Camilo Segura

Dr. Camilo Segura is one of the group's partners. A university-trained prosthodontist, he focuses on restorative and reconstructive dental treatments utilizing both traditional dental techniques such as crowns, bridges and porcelain veneers, as well as advanced technology in implant prosthetics. With research on biomaterials, occlusion and reconstructive treatment of root canalled teeth; Dr. Segura’s work has been featured in numerous publications, including The Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, The Journal of Dental Restoration and The International Journal of Prosthodontics. Currently an associate clinical professor of fixed and removable prosthodontics at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Segura previously held a clinical appointment at the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry and served as an advisor to the Dental Alliance Chapter of the Seattle Study Club. Dr. Segura has lectured at the Yankee Dental Congress, the International Association for Dental Research and the American Association for Dental Research. In addition to these impressive credentials, he has taken continuing education courses in dental implants and prosthodontics at the International Congress of Implantology and the Misch International Implant Institute. Dr. Segura completed a Doctorate in Medical Dentistry and a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Study in Prosthodontics, both at the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Pontifica Universidad Javeriana, Facultad de Odontologia in Columbia. Dr. Segura maintains membership in the American Dental Association, the Hispanic Dental Association, the American College of Prosthodontics and the Massachusetts Dental Society and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Implantology.

Dr. Segura enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He is fluent in Spanish and English and enjoys playing golf.

Dr. Harry Strating

Dr. Harry Strating

Dr. Harry Strating graduated in dentistry from the University of Pretoria, South Africa and received numerous awards, notably for the best student in his class. While practicing as a general dentist, he attended classes part-time and earned an Honors degree (Residency) in Periodontics. He then moved his family to Boston and enrolled in the Prosthodontics specialty program at Boston University. In addition to his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Prosthdontics, he also earned his Master’s degree for a research thesis, which is required to be accepted on the specialist register in South Africa. He practiced and lectured for eight years in Pretoria, while continuing his research in implant related bone biology. In 1987 he accepted an Assistant Professorship at Boston University and moved back to his favorite city and country. He has numerous publications to his credit and lectures nationally and internationally.

Currently he devotes most of his time to his practice in Beverly and makes time for his hobbies including private flying, waterskiing, jewelry making etc.

Jonathan Bamel, DMD

Jonathan Bamel, DMD

Dr. Bamel graduated in 1983 from the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. He spent the following year in New York at The Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn completing a residency program. During that residency he received extensive training in Dental Surgery and Endodontics (root canals). Upon returning to Boston he opened his private practice in association with Dr. Walk in Newton, Massachusetts. Dr. Bamel taught at the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry from 1985-1995 as a Clinical Instructor for Restorative Dentistry.

Although Dr. Bamel spends much of his time with Cosmetic Dentistry, he has spent the past fifteen years at the cutting edge of Implant Dentistry. He finds it quite rewarding replacing teeth for patients with Dental Implants when false teeth would be the only alternative. His kind, sensitive, and efficient treatment of his patients has built a wonderful family dental practice.

Dr. Bamel lives in Newton, Mass. with his wife Monique (also a dentist) and their three children. He is very involved in the community and contributes both his time and money to many charities. When he is not on the field coaching one of his kids' sports, he plays tennis and golf and enjoys travel and wine.

Dr. Bamel belongs to numerous organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and The Periodontal Associates Implant Study Club.

Dr. Gerald A. Bloom

Dr. Gerald A. Bloom

Dr. Bloom has been performing the highest quality dentistry for more than 30 years. He distinguished himself in the dental profession from the very start as President of his class at the New York University College of Dentistry. He also achieved the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps stationed at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington D.C., and is past President of the West Metropolitan Dental Society.

Dr. Bloom is affiliated with the prestigious Las Vegas Institute. He has completed much of their curriculum, as well as hundreds of courses in Cosmetic and General Dentistry. Using the latest techniques and materials, he offers each patient the finest treatment available.

An avid photographer, Dr. Bloom combines technical and artistic skills to create beauty in his spare time as well as professional time. His other interests include stained glass, woodworking, and playing several musical instruments.

Dr. Cary Feuerman

Dr. Cary Feuerman

Dr. Cary Feuerman earned his D.M.D degree with honors from Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 1983. He received several awards for outstanding achievement as a student, including admission into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society – a prestigious honor reserved for the top five graduating dental students. Dr. Feuerman also received his specialty training certificate in periodontics at Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 1985. He is an active member in many professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, and Massachusetts Dental and Periodontal Societies. He is also a past president of the Metrowest Dental Study Club, an affiliate of the Massachusetts Dental Society. Dr. Feuerman has taught in the graduate periodontics clinic at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine, and continues to lecture on a variety of topics including periodontics, esthetic periodontal therapy, dental implant treatment, and bone regeneration. Dr. Feuerman is presently a co-director of the Periodontal Associates Study Club, founded in 1988, which provides continuing dental education for the local community of dental professionals.

Dr. Feuerman has many interests outside of dentistry, and enjoys spending time with his wife, two adult children, and friends.

Dr. Giovani Castellucci

Dr. Giovani Castellucci

Dr. Castellucci graduated from the University of Pretoria Dental School in South Africa in 1978 earning his B.Ch.D degree. He received the Ross – Barrowman award for the best student in prosthetics. He then spent two years as a dentist doing his national service in the South African army. He entered his post-doctoral residency in Periodontology at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 1980 and earned his C.A.G.S. and M.Sc.D. degree in 1983 and his D.M.D degree in 1984. His Master's research thesis was based on the utilization of dentin as a bone grafting material. As a faculty member, he was Associate Clinical Professor in the post-doctoral Periodontology program at Boston University from 1984-1990.

Dr. Castellucci is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, British General Dental Council and the Massachusetts Dental and Periodontal Societies. He is a past president of the Metrowest Dental Study Club, an affiliate of the Massachusetts Dental Society. He is co-founder of the Society for Advanced Clinical Dentistry and is involved in teaching locally and internationally. Dr. Castellucci is presently co-director of the Periodontal Associates study club, established in 1988, which provides continuing education for the local dental community. He has authored and published several research articles in a variety of scientific journals. Dr. Castellucci is married, has three children, and enjoys travel, soccer, running, gardening and cooking.
